You might have heard about JKSSB Recruitment, JKPSC Recruitment, Rehbar-e-Taleem (R-e-T) (Education), Rehbar-e-Sehat (Health and Medical Education), Rehbar-e-Ziarat (Agriculture) and Now we have Rehbar-e-Khel (Sports and Youth Affairs). All these- Rehbar-e-Schemes provide Contractual Jobs to appointees with permanent absorption in the Department after completing a Specific Period in the Department. In Rehbar-e-Khel, the period of Temporary Engagement is 7 years, thereafter appointee will be permanently absorbed in the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of J&K.

It is worth mentioning here that in Feb 2017, representatives of J&K Unemployed Physical Education & Sports Association (JKUPESA) met with the Minister for Information Technology (IT), Technical Education & Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari, who assured them that Govt, will frame a Policy to promote Sports activities in the state and this will, in turn, provide Employment opportunities to those having Degree / Diploma in Physical Education.

And A Formal Order of Rehbar-e-Khel was released by the Government on, 27th Oct 2017, with the creation of 3000 posts under Rehbar-e-Khel. These 3000 positions will be allocated to Middle/High Schools at Zonal Level.

On 2nd Jan 2017, Department of Youth and Sports Affairs (District Samba and Srinagar) has announced the District wise Recruitment of Posts under Rehbar-e-Khel. Rehbar-e-Khel Jobs announced for Kathua, Budgam and Pulwama

On 4th Jan 2018, Office of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (Kathua Budgam and Pulwama) announced the Notification for Recruitment of youth under the Rehbar-e-Khel.

1) Kathua District Has 117 vacancies and you can apply till 31st January 2018

2) Budgam District has 171 vacancies and the Last Date to apply for Rehbar-e-Khel vacancies in Budgam district is 21 Days from the Date of Notification ie 25th Jan 2018.

3) Pulwama District has 90 Posts and Last Date to submit the application form is 25th Jan, 2018

On 5th Jan, 2018, Office of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Bandipora announced 128 Jobs for various Zones in Bandipora District. The last date to apply for these posts is 26th Jan,2018. Today, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt of J&K announced the District wise Notification for posts under Rehbar-e-Khel

As on 2nd Jan 2018, Notification is announced for Samba and Srinagar Districts and it is expected that Posts for Other Districts will be announced soon, as Govt. has to recruit 3000 people under Rehbar-e-Khel, employment scheme.

Who can apply for these posts?

Applicants willing to apply for Rehbar--Khel posts should full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions

1) Domicile: Applicant should be a permanent resident of J&K and should apply for posts for their respective District only.

2) Age-Limit: Applicant should have completed the age of 18 years and the maximum age should not exceed 40 years.

3) Education Qualifications: Applicants, willing to apply for Rehbar-e-Khel should have completed BPE / Graduation with B.P. Ed. Applicants having additional Qualification such as BPE with B.P.Ed/ M.P.Ed/M.Phill (Physical Education)/Ph.D (Physical Education)/Diploma from NIS (Duration one year) shall be given additional points

Regularization Process

Rehbar-e-Khel is introduced on the same line of Other Rehbar-e-Schemes, where an appointee has to complete a Probationary Period. While in the Regular, Govt Jobs, Probation period is Six Months to 1 years, however, in Rehbar-e Schemes, it is usually Long.

In case of Rehbar-e-Khel, the Period of Probation is 7 years. here the appointee has to complete Seven years of Continuous and Compulsory Service before they will be permanently absorbed in the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of J&K and given Full Salary as per the PayScale.

During the Probation Period, appointees will be paid only monthly Honorarium of Rs 3000 for First 3 years and afterwards (4th to 7th years), it will be Rs 4000.

Persons appointed as Rehbar-e-Khel will be appointed against the available / created posts of Physical Education Teacher. Recruitment will be done by a committee constituted by the Director, Youth Services and Sports. It is important to note that District Youth and Sports Officer shall be responsible for the Deployment of engaged Rehbar-e-Khel's in the Middle/ High Schools of concerned District having Adequate Roll Call.

Selection Criteria: The Selection criteria for the Recruitment of posts under Rehbar-e-Khel, comprises of Academic Criteria and Interview.

How to Apply?

Applicants who meet the above-mentioned Qualifications for Rehbar-e-Khel Posts should submit their application forms before the closing date. It is worth mentioning here that these Notifications for Rehbar-e-Khel are announced by the District Office of Youth Services and Sports Officer, and as such, you should apply for vacancies for your respective district only.

Application forms: Applicants should submit the application forms in prescribed format only. Here is the List of documents that you need to submit along with application form.

Date of Birth Certificate (Matric Diploma).
Permanent Resident Certificate (State Subject).
Character Certificate from Gazetted Officer.
Bonafide Certificate of concerned zone from Tehsildar concerned.
Qualification Certificate with Marks Sheets.

Receipt of Application forms: The Duly filled in application forms, complete in all respects should be submitted to the Office of District Youth Services and Sports Officers

Samba Based Candidates have to deposit their forms at the office of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba by hand or by post by or before 15-01-2018.

Srinagar Based Candidates should have to deposit their application forms at District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Wazir Bagh, Srinagar within 21 Days from Date of Notification ie 2nd Jan 2018.

Budgam District Candidates have to submit their Forms either in person or by post in the Office of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Budgam with in 21 Days from the Date of Notification Dated 01-01-2018

Kathua Based Candidates have to submit their forms at the OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT YOUTH SERVICES AND SPORTS OFFICER, KATHUA before 31st, Jan, 2018
