100 PO and Clerk Jobs in Indian Overseas Bank through NSDC UDAAN

You might have heard about the UDAAN Project, that aims to provide Employment to the Unemployed Graduates of J&K in Public as well as Private Sector Companies is India. Since the launch of UDAAN Project, Different MNC's have visited J&K and recruited candidates in Large Numbers.

Apart from Private Sector Companies (Like Accenture, Wipro etc), now public Sector Companies are also coming to J&K and recruiting candidates through the  UDAAN Scheme. Canara Bank is the First Public Sector Bank, that concludes its Recruitment Drive for 300 Officers and Clerical Jobs.

Today, another Major Public Sector Bank, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) had announced its Recruitment Project for Graduates under the UDAAN Scheme. This is a great opportunity for all those who missed the Jobs advertised by Canara Bank.

These Jobs by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is only for the Permanent Residents of J&K State Only.

IOB Recruitment 2014 Under UDAAN Scheme



Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) invites applications for both PO and Clerk positions for its branches located all over the Country. These vacancies are advertised under the Special Industry Initiative-J&K to provide employment to Graduates of J&K

Posts : Probationary Officers and Clerks

No. of Vacancies: 100  posts.

Here is the Post-wise break-up of these vacancies

1) Probationary Officers : 50 posts
2) Clerk: 50 Posts

Initially, the Bank will shortlist 100 candidates for 3 Month Training, After completion of Training, only 50 Candidates (PO-25 posts and Clerk-25 posts) will get the Jobs. The remaining 50 candidates will be given only Certificate of Training.

Pay-Scale: Salary to the Officers and Clerks will be paid as per the Pay-Scale given below

For Probationary Officers : Rs 14500 - 600 /7 – 18700 - 700/2 - 20100 - 800/7 - 25700

For Clerks : Rs  7,200 --  19,300


What is the Eligibility Criteria ?


Permanent Residents of J&K, will be apply for Jobs in IOB under the UDAAN Scheme, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions

1) You must be a permanent Resident to J&K, to apply for IOB Recruitment

2) Age Limit : Applicants must be above 20 years and below 28 years (As on 01-02-2014)

3) Educational Qualifications: Degree in any discipline with Minimum 60% Marks (55% for Reserved Categories) from a recognised university of India.

Selection Process


 The Selection Process for the Training in IOB comprises of Written test (Online/Offline) and Interview. The Written test, will be objective in nature. Below is given the Scheme and Pattern of Written Examination
