If you have applied for J&K Fire and Emergency Services Recruitment in 2013 for Advertisement Notices No. 1 and 2 Dated 12th March 2013, then after a long gap of 5 years, the Department has come up with an Important Public Notice regarding the Recruitment. 

Earlier there was news that the said Recruitment was cancelled by the Governemnt, however there was nothing official on this. 

However, the things get cleared after this Public Notice regarding the Recruitment by J&K Fire and Emergency Services Department

Here are some Highlights of the Public Notice issued by J&K Fire and Emergency Services Recruitment 2013

1) Fresh Recruitment (Denovo) Process will be initiated through Transparent Recruitment Process Agency. 

Note: Physical Tests conducted in the Past stands cancelled. 

2) All the candidates who have applied in response to the J&K Fire and Emergency Services Advt No. 1 and 2 of 2013 shall be eligible to participate in the recruitment process.

3) Candidates are advised to Stay Fit and be Ready for all the prescribed tests in near future, notices for which will be available on the Official Website at www.fireandemergency.jk.gov.in

4) Further candidates are advised to regularly visit the Official Website in the next 15 to 20 Day for further actions like

a) Candidate's Registration and Paying Application fees.
b) To Check Date and Venues of Prescribed tests
c) Uploading Required Documents etc

J&K Fire and Emergency Services Advt No1 : Vacancy Details

A Total of 832 posts are advertised in the Advt No 1 of 2013 Dated 12-03-2013.

Here is the posts-wise Break-up of Vacancies

1) Sub-Officer: 75 posts
2) Fireman/  Fireman driver: 740 posts
3) Jr Electrician: 4 posts
4) Foreman: 1 post
5) Barber: 2 posts
6) Cook: 1 post
7) Plumber: 2 posts
8) Vulcanizer: 2 posts


J&K Fire and Emergency Services Advt No 2 : Vacancy Details

 In the 2nd Advt, 45 posts have been advertised by J&K Fire and Emergency Services. Following is the List of vacancies advertised

1) Jr Assistant (Leading Fireman-M): 41 posts
2) Steno-Typist: 4 posts

What is the Eligibility Criteria to Apply for these posts ?


Applicants who are willing to apply for the above mentioned posts in the Department of J&K Fire and Emergency Services are required to full fill the below mentioned Eligibility conditions.

1) Applicants must be the Permanent Residents of J&K State.

2) Age Limit: Applicants must be above 18 years and less than 28 years of Age (As on 01-01-2013)

3) Educational Qualifications: Applicants applying for these posts must full fill the prescribed Qualifications as mentioned the Detailed Advt and Notification.

4) Medical and Physically Conditions: Applicants must be physically fit and must full fill the Physical conditions as specified in the Detailed Notification, apart from this applicants must full fill the Medical Conditions also
