The Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu had invited applications in the prescribed application forms from the Permanent residents of J&K for the post mentioned below

No. of Vacancies: 30

Pay-Scale: Applicants will get salary as per the Pay Scale of Rs 5200 - Rs 20200 (Grade Pay: Rs 1900).

What is the Eligibility Criteria ?

Applicants willing to apply for 30 posts of Computer Assistants in Director Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, should meet the below mentioned eligibility conditions.

1) Domicile: Only Permanent residents of J&K, can apply for this post and applicants must have the State Subject of J&K.

2) Age Limit: Applicants minimum age should be 18 years, while the maximum age must be less than 40 years. However, upper age limit is relaxable be 3 years for SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC candidates, 2 years for Physically challenged candidates.

3) Educational Qualifications: Applicants willing to apply for "Computer Assistant" post must meet the below mentioned qualification conditions.

• Applicant must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university in India.
• Applicant must have typing speed of minimum 35 WPM on computer Keyboard.
• Applicant must have completed six months computer application course from a recognized Institute.

Procedure for Selection: The Selection process for the Recruitment of Computer Assistants in Director Urban Local Bodies, comprises of Type test and Interview

Given below is the point-wise criteria for selection

1) Graduation: 20 Points
2) Type test: 45 Points
3) Computer Course: 5 Points
4) Experience as Computer Assistant in ULB: 10 Points
5) Viva-Voce: 20 Points


The Selection committee, will not invite, each and every candidate for Written test and Interview, instead candidates will be shortlisted for Written test/Interview in the ratio of 1:5 to the no. of vacancies. The shortlisting of candidates, will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination.

Applicants who meet the above mentioned eligibility conditions, should submit their application forms in the prescribed format before 10th August, 2015.

Application fees: Applicants need to pay Rs 100 as application fees in the form of Bank Draft favoring Accounts Officer, Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, payable at Jammu.

Application form: The prescribed application forms, can be obtained from the concerned Municipal Committees/Councils Or From the Office of Directorate Urban Local Bodies, Jammu.

The application forms can be obtained from 27th July, 2015

Receipt of Application form: The Duly filled in application form, along with Bank Draft and Documents viz State Subject, Qualification Certificate, Matriculation Certificate Character Certificate,Technical Qualification (If any),  Category Certificate (If any), Experience Certificate (If any). must reach the below mentioned office address before 10th August, 2015.
