Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) is on Hiring spree, as it is announcing Jobs after Jobs for the unemployed youth of J&K.Today JKSSB had issued a Notification and Advertised 1959 Non-Gazetted posts in State, Division and District Cadre.


These vacancies are advertised for various Non-Gazetted posts in various Government Department of J&K.

JKSSB Notification No.3 of 2012

Earlier On 1st January, 2013, JKSSB had announced over 3100 vacancies through its Notification No. 3 of 2012.In one of our previous post, we have shared all the Details of the JKSSB Recruitment 2013 and In this post, we are going to share the Information on the Latest JKSSB Jobs 2013 that are notified via Advertisement No 1 and 2. of 2013.

Time Line for JKSSB Applications

Applicants willing to apply for JKSSB Jobs 2013 are advised to go through the following schedule for the Sales and Receipt of Application forms

• Date of Sale of OMR/ICR Application forms: 01-03-2013 to 15-03-2013
• Date of Receipt of OMR/ICR Application form: 05-03-2013 to 31-03-2013

JKSSB Notification Feb-2013 : Details of Vacancies

Today, JKSSB had advertised 1959 vacancies under two separate Advertisements viz Advertisement No.1 of 2013 and Advertisement No.2 of 2013. These Advertisements are published in Leading Newspapers of J&K Dated 18th Feb, 2013

JKSSB Advertisement No.1 of 2013

In this Advt a total of 520 posts have been advertised. The vacancies are are published in State, Division and District Cadres.

Here is the Break-up of Vacancies

• For State Cadre: 91 Posts
• For Division Cadre: 331 posts ( Kashmir Div : 156, Jammu Div: 175)
• For District Cadre: 98 posts ( In 17 Districts)

JKSSB Advertisement No.2 of 2013

In this Advt Dated 16th Feb, 2013, a Total of 1439 posts have been advertised. Here is the State-wise, Division-wise and District wise break-up of vacancies.

• For State Cadre: 102 Posts
• For Division Cadre: 591 posts ( Kashmir Div : 169, Jammu Div: 422)
• For District Cadre: 746 posts ( In 21 Districts)

Pay-Scale: Applicants who will be appointed for these posts, will be given Monthly Salary, as per the Pay-Band given below.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Jobs 2013 ?

Applicants willing to apply for Government Jobs in J&K via JKSSB are advised to full fill the below mentioned Eligibility Criteria.

Age Limit: Min: 18 years and Max: 37 years

Educational Qualifications: Applicants are required to fulfil the Educational/ Technical Qualification criteria, as mentioned against each post in the Detailed Advt

State-Subjects: Applicants applying for these Jobs, must be permanent residents of J&K and have a valid State-Subject issued in their name.

Selection Process: The Selection process for these posts, shall consist of Written Test / Interview. The Dates of Written Exam and Interview will be informed separately through Print-Media.

Applicants who full fill the above mentioned Eligibility criteria are advised to apply before the Last Date i.e 31st March, 2013.

Application forms: The OMR/ ICR Application forms can be obtained from the following J&K Bank Branches.



Receipt of Applications: The Duly filled in Application forms along with Photocopy of OMR Form, Attested Relevant Certificates in proof of Eligibility details must be deposited either by post or person in the respective District Employment and Counselling Centres.

The Last Date for Receipt of OMR/ICR Application forms in 31st March, 2013.
