JKSSB conducted the much awaited Naib Tehsildar Exam on 29th April 2018 through offline mode. This Exam has become a controversy and headache for JKSSB, as the Selection process of this exam undergoes, several trials in the High Court of J&K. But soon after the appointment of Shri Simrandeep Singh Ji, as JKSSB Chairman, he made sure that there won't be any delays and Finally Exam was conducted in a hassle-free manner on 29th April 2018.

However, there are instances of some mismanagement on part of JKSSB, where candidates Examination Centers were changed at the Last Moment. Aggrieved by this, One candidate Hamid approached the High Court, whose examination centre was changed in the Last minute and was asked to Travel another 40 Kms to reach the changed Examination Center. However, candidates reached Late and got only 30 minutes out of 120 minutes to write the Paper. 

The petitioner pleaded that the circumstances imposed on him by the SSB for writing the test precluded a fair chance to succeed in the examination. Agreeing with Hamid, the court observed “one can only imagine the agony, the petitioner would have undergone
