On 11th April, 2017, GMC Jammu had announced bumper Recruitment for various posts having qualification as 10th and 12th Only. Getting Government after passing 10th or 12th Class is dream for some and need for some. It is best for those, who have studied only upto 12th Class. It is after a very long time, that GMC Jammu is conducting the recruitment at such a large scale.
The most important thing about this GMC Jammu Recruitment is that There will be No Interviews for these posts and Selection is Entire Based on Academic Merit Only ie. Only those who have scored High in the Academic Merit (Class 10th and 12th) have higher chances of being selected.
Recruitment for these posts, means better medical facilities for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as more manpower will be employed for better services in GMC and its associated hospitals. It is worth mentioning here that these are Divisional cadre jobs and anyone who is a permanent resident of J&K, residing in Jammu Divisions can apply for this GMC Jammu Recruitment 2017.

GMC Jammu and its associated hospitals have invited application for various Class IVth Posts from the permanent resident of J&K, having Domicile in Jammu Divisions

Note: There will be Horizontal reservation of 6% for Ex Servicemen and 3% for Physically Challenged persons.

What is the eligibility Criteria?
Applicants, willing to apply for these posts in GMC Jammu and its associated hospitals, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions
1) Domicile : Only Permanent residents of Jammu Division ie District falling under Jammu Division can apply. People from Kashmir Division and Ladakh are not eligible to apply for these posts
2) Age Limit: Applicant must have attained the age of 18 years and maximum age should not exceed 40 years (As on 1st Jan, 2017). Moreover, these is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories as per the below mentioned criteria
- For SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC: 43 years
- For Ex Servicemen: 48 years
- For Physically Challenged: 42 years
3) Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification is Matric and Maximum is 10+2. Remember, there will be No weightage for candidates with higher qualification
Selection Process: The selection process for the recruitment of these Class IVth posts in GMC and its associated hospitals, comprises of Only Academic Merit. Candidates will be shortlisted for selection only on the basis of Merit in the Qualifying Exam only.
Here is criteria for Calculating the Academic Merit
- Matric (10th) : 80 Points
- HSC (10+2) : 20 Points
Note: These will be No Interview for these Class IVth posts.
How to Apply ?
Applicants who meet the above mentioned eligibility conditions and willing to apply for GMC Jammu Recruitment 2017, should submit their application in prescribed format before 9th May, 2017.
Application form: Applicants should submit the application form only in the prescribed format only. As there is No online form, so you have to submit your application in prescribed paper application form only.
Application form can be downloaded from the Official Website of GMC Jammu from this Link For the convenience of applicants, we have embedded the application form at the end of this post, so that you can take its Print Out.
- Applicant should submit the application form be A4 Size paper and all the entries are in Computer typed form and not hand written.
- Application forms found incomplete during the scrutiny, process will be rejected.
Application Fees: Applicants need to pay Rs 50 as application fee in the form of treasury Receipt under account head "2010 Revenue" . No other modes of application fees will be accepted.
Receipt of Application form: The Duly filled in Application form along with attached Treasury Receipt, should be submitted either in person or by Registered post in the Office of Personnel Officer, Associated Hospitals, Jammu before 9th May, 2017.

- 11:00 am to 3:00 pm ( 18th to 30th April, 2017)
- 9:00 am to 3:00 PM (1st May to 9th May, 2017)
Note: No Document except Treasury Receipt should be submitted along with Application form.
