What is the Eligibility Criteria ?

Applicants willing to apply for various Jobs/Vacancies in Kashmir University, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions

Nationality: Applicants must be the permanent resident of J&K (Kashmir).

Age limit: Applicant’s age limit should not be exceeding 44 Years for various Posts.  Age Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates is applied as per the government norms.

Educational qualifications:

For the Posts of Professors/ Directors/ Librarian, Associate Professors/ Coordinator, Deputy Librarian , Assistant, Librarian, Assistant Director, Assistant Professor:
Candidate should have Degree in PhD/Master’s/Bachelor’s in relevant field from any recognized university.

For Assistant Professor Posts, job seekers must have cleared NET Exam.
Candidate should have relevant experience as per post applied.

For the Posts of Contractual basis Lecturers:
Candidates must possess Masters Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% of marks.


Selection Process: The Selection Process for Candidate’s selection in Kashmir University will be based on personal Interview.
