But don't worry, sooner or later, there will be announcement of Jobs and that too is Big numbers as Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India recently announced that there are 84000 Posts vacant in Govt. Departments of J&K, which includes more than 52000 Non-Gazetted posts.

As per the Official J&K Law Department Recruitment Notification, 40 vacancies Each for Jammu and Srinagar Districts and 2 vacancies each for other Districts have been announced. Last Date for submitting the prescribed application form is fixed at 26th March 2020. The Official Notification is available at the Website (www.jklaw.nic.in) or you can have the Advt. as printed in Daily Excelsior and Greater Kashmir Dated 13th March 2020.


J&K Law Department Recruitment 2020: Vacancy Details


Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govt of J&K, invites applications in the prescribed format for the below-mentioned posts, as given below

Post: Standing Counsel

No.of Vacancies:116

1) District Jammu: 40 Posts
2) District Srinagar: 40 Posts
3) Other Districts: 36 Posts ( 2 for Each District)

Period of Probation: 2 years

Salary: Here are the Terms and Conditions to be paid as Salary

  • Remuneration: Rs 8000/ Month
  • Incidental Expenses: Rs 1000
  • Counsel Fees: Rs 2000 / Case
  • Suit dismissed in Default: Rs 1000
  • Civil/ Appeal Revision: Rs 1500/ Case
  • Contempt Cases: Rs 1500 / Case
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant should be an advocate and shall have actual experience of 2 years ie 2 years Experience from the date of enrolment in Concerned bar council.

Selection Process: The selection process for the Recruitment of Standing Counsel in Department of Law, comprises of the below mentioned criteria.

1) Experience: 30 Marks
2) Qualification: 10 Marks
3) No. of Institutions in last 2 years of Civil Suits: 50 Marks 
4) Professional Achievements: 10 Marks
