On 6th July, 2017, Higher Education department, J&K had released an Employment Notification, announcing Jobs for various posts for Degree colleges of Jammu Division, purely on Academic Arrangement basis for session 2017-18

The Colleges include GGM Science College, MAM College, SPMR College of Commerce , Parade and Gandhinagar Women College and also all the Degree colleges of the Districts of Jammu Division.

This is a regular recruitment exercise done every year with the aim to recruit candidates as Lecturers, Teaching Assistants and other posts for Degree colleges of Jammu Division. 

The current Recruitment is being done for the Academic Session 2017-18.

In other words, we can say that this is a Contractual Recruitment and applicant cannot consider himself/herself a Govt. servant. The reason for this kind of contractual recruitment is that, these posts have remained unfilled by Public Service Commission. The Notification also informs, that if during the period of appointment, that a  candidate gets appointed by PSC joins, then candidate had to left his/her job.

In this post, we are going to share the Complete Details and vacancies to apply for Jobs through Academic Arrangement. Applicants willing to apply for these posts, must submit their applications online before 12th July 2017.

Applications are invited from the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir for the below mentioned posts in the J&K Higher Education Department.

1) Lecturers
2) Assistant Lecturer
3) Librarian 
4) Assistant Librarian
5) Physical Training Instructors
6) Assistant Physical Training Instructors

What is the Eligibility Criteria ?


Applicants willing to apply for the above mentioned posts of Lecturers, Teaching Assistant and other posts must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions

Domicile: Only the Permanent residents of J&K state are eligible to apply for these posts.

1) For Lecturers Post: Applicant must have completed Post graduation with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST, Physically and Visually Challenged) in the respective subject, along with NET/SET/PHd.

2) For Assistant Lecturer: Applicant must have completed PG in respective subject with 55% marks (50% for Reserved Categories)

3)  Librarian & Physical Training Instructors: Applicant must have completed M Lib for Librarian Post and M Ped. for Physical Training Instructor post with 55% marks. Along with this, applicant must have NET/SET/PHd.

4) Assistant Librarian & Physical Training Instructors: Applicant must have completed M Lib for Librarian Post and M Ped. for Physical Training Instructor post with 55% marks. 

Selection Process: The Selection process for recruitment of these posts, is purely and Merit basis and Selection Committee comprises of these below mentioned officers.

1) Nodal Principal, Jammu Division colleges
2) Principal, Government SPMR College of Commerce Jammu
3) Principal, Government College of Education, Jammu.

How to Apply ?


Applicants willing to apply for the above mentioned posts, must submit their application form online at the Official Website of Higher Education Department at www.jkadmissions.nic.in 

Remember the last Date to Submit the online application is 12th July, 2017

Application Fees: Applicants need to pay an application fees of Rs 50 through Online mode.

Here are the Steps for Submitting the Online application form

1) Log on to the official website at http://www.jkadmissions.nic.in/acadar

2) After that Click on the Link "Submit Application for Academic Arrangement"

3) Now, Read the Terms and Conditions and and Apply Online

4) Now, carefully fill the form by following On-Screen Instructions and finally click the "Submit" Button.

5) After, that you will get the Acknowledgement of Form Submission by Email.

Document Verification Remember to take the Print Out of the System Generated Application form, and  Receipt of Application fees as you need to submit these at the time of Document Verification. 

The Tentative Date for Display of Merit List is 15th July, 2017
