The Department had invited applications for a particular Project "NMSHE" and need Project Scientist, Project Assistant and Jr. & Sr. Research fellow. The Recruitment Notification for these Jobs in published in the Daily Excelsior Newspaper

J&K Remote Sensing Department Recruitment 2015 : Vacancy Details

Applications are invited for the following posts have below mentioned Qualification

1) Project Scientist (B-Level)

• No. of Posts: 02 (Two)
• Salary: Rs 40,000 Per Month
• Experience : Minimum 3 years Experience in Climate Change
• Educational Qualifications: Ph. D in Environmental Sciences OR Remote Sensing OR GIS, Geo-Informatics OR Earth and Atmospheric Science.

2) Sr. Research Fellow

• No. of Posts: 02 (01 for Category-1 and 01 for Category-02)
• Salary: Rs 30,000 Per Month
• Experience : Minimum 3 years Experience 
• Educational Qualifications: Applicants must meet the below mentioned Educational Qualifications

1. For Cateory-1: A Post-Graduation Degree in Science/Forestry/GeoInformatics .Applicants having Diploma after PG in Remote Sensing OR GIS will be preferred.
2. For Category-2:  A PG Degree in Geography and Geology. Applicants having degree  and Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS will be preferred

3)      Jr. Research Fellow: 

• No. of Posts: 02 (01 for Category-1 and 01 for Category-02)
• Salary: Rs 25,000 Per Month
• Experience : Minimum 1 year Experience 
• Educational Qualifications: Applicants must meet the below mentioned Educational Qualifications

1. For Cateory-1: A Post-Graduation Degree in Environmental Sciences/ Earth & Atmospheric Sciences / Geoinformatics .Applicants having PG Diploma OR higher Degree after PG in Remote Sensing OR GIS will be preferred.
2. For Category-2:  Candidate must have completed M Sc. (Statistics) and must be well versed with Common Statistical Packages Like R, Minitab, SPSS etc. Applicant must have 1 year of Experience of handling data in a reputed organization

4)      Project Assistant

• No. of Posts: 01 (One)
• Salary: Rs 8,000 Per Month
• Educational Qualifications: A Degree in Science (B Sc.) along with Diploma in Computers from a recognized Institute
