Jammu University had changed the Website for Submitting the Online Applications. Now you can submit the Online applications at www.juet2015.org
Jammu University had released the Notification for JUET 2015 Exam last week and it was greeted with massive protests from student fraternity including the student political wings Like ABVP and NSUI.
The reason for these protests is that Jammu University had made the JUET only a screening test and no weightage is given to it for taking admissions in various academic courses. That means, both the toppers and Bottomer's in JUET will be considered equal. The Full weightage is given to academic marks and no weightage for marks scored in the JUET Wrong
This is fairly wrong, as the fate of those students is sealed who did not fare well in academics. So, it is very important to give weigthage of JUET marks. Even when, JUET was introduced in 2011, and even in the following years, there was distribution of marks between the academics and Entrance test.
But in 2015, Jammu University had taken the anti student step and make the Entrance test as only a Qualifying test and that starts the protests from students
Now following the series of protests, Jammu University had to released a Notification informing 2 Major changes.
JUET 2015 Notification No. 3: Major Changes
Jammu University had released a Notification on 15th May, 2015 informing changes in the Jammu University Entrance test 2015
1) Weightage for Taking Admissions: As per the Notification, released by Jammu University, admissions to various academic courses shall be made on the marks obtained by the Candidates in the Entrance test (JUET) and Academic Merit.
Here is the break up of weigthage for Taking Admissions
1) For Entrance test: 25%
2) For Qualifying Examination: 75%
2) Change of Website for Submitting the Online Application: Now, JUET goes online and as such Jammu University will be receiving online applications.
In its Notification, that was released on 15th May, 2015, Jammu University had decided to change the Website address from www.juet2015.in to www.juet2015.org.
Now www.juet2015.org is the Official Website for submitting the JUET-2015 Online applications.
The online submission of applications will start from 28th May, 2015 and will continue till 12th June, 2015
