J&K Social Welfare Department invites applications from the eligible candidates for the below-mentioned post on an ALL India basis


Post: Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities


No. of Vacancies: One


Pay-Scale: Rs 37400 - Rs 67000 (GP: Rs 10000/-)


What are the Eligibility Conditions?


Applicants willing to apply must full fill the below-mentioned eligibility conditions


(I) Educational Qualification

  • Essential: Degree from a recognized University.
  • Desirable: Degree or Diploma in Social Work OR Law OR Management OR Human Rights OR Rehabilitation OR Education of Disabled persons 

(II) Experience: Applicant must have minimum 20 years of experience in Group "A" Level post or Equivalent
  1. In Central / State Government
  2. PSU Or Semi-Government OR Autonomous Body dealing with disability-related matters or Social section 
  3. Works in the capacity of a Sr. Level functionary in a registered UT or National OR Internation level voluntary organization working in the field of Disability or Social Development

Other Important Conditions
  1. Candidate should have special knowledge or practical experience in respect of the matters relating to rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities 
  2. Not attained the age of 60 years (As on 1st Jan, 2021)
  3. If the candidate is working under the State / Central OR UT Government, then he/she should resign before being appointed to the post.
