Preparing for JKSSB Class IVth Exam 2020? Here is the Detailed JKSSB Class 4th Syllabus

The Official Advertisement for JKSSB Class 4th Posts was announced on 26th June and Online Registration will start from 10th July 2020 onwards. Next, thing, all of you looking for is the JKSSB Class 4th Syllabus and the Good news is that JKSSB has announced the Class IVth Syllabus at the time of Notification. It is for the First time, that JKSSB has announced the Syllabus at the Notification, usually, JKSSB announces the Notification and thereafter releases the Syllabus after 2 or 3 month. But thankfully, this time Syllabus is released soon, so that candidates can start their preparation 

First, look at the JKSSB Class 4th Syllabus, suggests that it is balanced one and it tests the parameters that are needed for a Class IVth Employee. The Syllabus will test the Components Like Basic English, Reasoning, Maths and General Awareness and Science. This syllabus is very well suited for those having Qualification up to 12th Class, yet those who have experience of JKSSB Exams will have an upper hand in this Syllabus.

Though the basic Qualification for these Class 4th Posts in 10+2, owing to the high levels of Un-employment in J&K, these posts will also be applied by the Graduates and Post-Graduates. So, the cut off is expected to remain high.

JKSSB Class IVth Syllabus 2020 

On 26th June 2020 JKSSB has announced the Recruitment for 8500 Class IVth Posts and the Syllabus for these posts was also released in Annexure "C" of the Advertisement No. 01 of 2020.

As per the Official Notification, Class 4th Syllabus comprises of 4 Sections / Components as given below

1) Basic Mathematics: 20 Marks
2) Basic Reasoning: 20 Marks
3) Basic English: 20 Marks
4) General Awareness and Science: 40 Marks


Analysis of JKSSB Class 4th Syllabus

Well, this is for the very First time, that JKSSB is conducting the Recruitment for Class IVth Posts. Previously the Recruitment for Class IVth Posts is done by District Level Committees or Head of Departments, but in 2018, the Government of J&K has given the responsibility to conduct the Recruitment for Class IVth Posts and Moreover, abolished the Interviews for Class IVth posts.

So, this will be the First Written Test to be conducted even for Class IVth Jobs in J&K and that's why the analysis of Syllabus is very important. 

If we look at the JKSSB Class IVth Syllabus, then it looks like a balanced one and matched the Job Profile for Class IVth Posts.   

1) Maths Section: This is the basic mathematics and the Level of Questions shall be up to 10th Level. All the Topics in the Maths Section you have already studied from Class 6th to Class 10th. There will be 20 Questions in the Maths Section from a Total of 8 Topics. It is advisable that you should study these Topics from the NCERT Books. 

2) Reasoning Section: These Days, you will find the reasoning in every competitive Exam. But the Reasoning in the JKSSB Class IVth Exam will be of Moderate level ie Not very Tough. Even the Reasoning Topics are of basic nature with more focus on Analytical Reasoning. There will be 20 Questions in the Reasoning Section from 8 Topics. To cover the Reasoning Syllabus, aspirants are advised to read the "Reasoning By R.S Aggarwal"    

3) English: Just Like Reasoning, we have "English" as a subject is most of the competitive Exams. For JKSSB Class IVth Exam, English Syllabus is of basic Level that you have studied in the Classes from 6th to 8th. In the English Part, again there will be 20 Questions to be asked from 9 Topics.

4) General Awareness and Science: General Awareness and Science section in the JKSSB Class 4th Syllabus has the weightage of 40 Marks and this section will be the deciding factor for your Selection. The more marks, your score in GA Section, the more chances you have to be in the Final Merit List. JKSSB Class 4th Exam Pattern 2020

The Selection Criteria for the Recruitment of Class 4th Posts by JKSSB comprises of Merit obtained in the Written Test and Some Additional points. 

Written Test: JKSSB will conduct the Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Test for Class IVth Posts. The Date and Venue of Written Exam will be informed through a Separate Notification. It is expected that the Written Exam shall be conducted in the month of Nov/Dec 2020. Applicants should note that this is only the Tentative Date (Schedule) and Exact Dates will be known only after JKSSB releases the Admit Cards.

JKSSB Class IVth Posts Selection Criteria

The Selection Criteria for JKSSB Class IVth Posts, comprises of Marks obtained in the Written Exam and Additional Points. In the JKSSB Class IVth Advertisement, there are Three Categories of Posts have been advertised ie UT Cadre, Divisional Cadre and State Cadre and accordingly, there is different Weightage for all these Categories

1) UT Cadre: For UT Cadre, Class IVth Posts, Selection Process comprises of 
Written Test: 85 Points and Additional Points: 15 Points



2) Divisional Cadre: For Divisional Cadre Posts, there will additional weightage of 05 Marks to the "Candidates of Home Division". Criteria is given below.


3) District Cadre: For District Cadre Posts, There will be additional weightage of 10 Marks for Candidates of Home District
