On this Wednesday morning of 18th March 2020, We have some awesome news for you.

Since 2019, you have been continuously hearing these announcements/assurances that " 50,000 New Jobs will be created by Government for Un-Employed youth of J&K".  Even previous Governor of J&K Shri Satyapal Malik, was the First person who made this announcement by doing a Press Conference in Oct 2019 that, " Govt. has identified 50,000 Jobs in Government Sector". However, after that nothing much was done on this issue and aspirants were feeling like this is nothing, but a Lolipop by the Government.

After that Six Months have passed and nothing happened at the Groud Level. No Jobs were announced.

But Yesterday (17th March 2020), we can safely say that 50,000 Jobs are definitely coming to J&K and this announcement was made by none other than Honourable Finance Minister of India, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the J&K Budget 2020-21 in Lok Sabha

If you see the J&K Budget Document 2020-21, Section-14 (Employment and Skill Development),  it is clearly mentioned that Govt proposes to Fill Up 50,000 vacancies in Government Sector and for that allocation of Rs 2000 crore is made.  With this announcement in the Lok Sabha Today, there is no doubt that "50,000 Jobs won't be announced, These will be announced and that too shortly. because we have another good news that Draft for Domicile Law is almost prepared and may be announced in the coming 2 weeks.  

Soon after that JKSSB and JKPSC, will start announcing the Job Notifications for various posts.

How Many Jobs in J&K will be announced in 2020-21?

It is expected that for this year (2020) and Next year (2021), the Government proposes to Fill 50,000 posts in various state government departments. Though at this time, we don't have the Department wise vacancy list. yet Higher No. of vacancies are expected in Education, Home(Police), Finance, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department

Out of these, 50000 Government Jobs

1) 30000+ will be in Non-Gazetted Cadre
2) 14000+  Class IVth Posts
3) 6000+ in Gazatted Cadre

J&K Budget 2020-21 (Employment and Skill Development) : Complete Details

1) 50,000 vacancies to be created in Government Sector

2) 7000 Unemployed youth will be provided employment opportunities under J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) at a Budgetary provision of Rs 25 crore through Khadi and Village Industries Board

3) For Skill Upgradation of 5000 Craftsman, Rs 7.50 crore is being provided.

4) 64899 Unemployed youth shall be provided skill training.

5) Self Employment Schemes will receive due attention and priority lending sector in 2020-21 shall be increased upwards to Rs 27000 crore

6) Rs 50 crore is being Ear Marked for Mission Youth - UT Govt's major initiate for engagement of youth for their upliftment and employment.

When these 50000 Jobs will be announced?

As of now, there is no fixed Timetable or Calendar issued by the Government for filling these posts. Primarily there are 2 reasons for Delay in announcement of these posts 

1) Domicile Law: After the Scrapping of Article 370, PRC gets invalid and Now the Central Government will bring the Domicile Document in replacement of PRC to protect the Jobs of Local. Only those who are permanents residents of J&K will be issued Domicile Certificate. This certificate is used to apply for Govt Jobs in J&K.

As of the now, Domicile Law is in the final stages of preparation and can be issued anytime now. In fact President of Apni Party, who recently met HomeMinister Shri Amit informed that Domicile Law is coming with in a Week.

2) Delay in Announcement of Recruitment Rules: J&K Government is severely criticized for SRO-2020. In the month of Feb,2020, J&K Government had formed a committee that will look into the flaws in the SRO and will soon submit the report. Once the report is out, Recruitment Rules will be amended accordingly. 

As and When these issues of Domicile and Recruitment Rules get announced. Recruitment agencies (JKSSB and JKPSC) will start announcing the Job / Recruitment Notification.

Always Remember, 2020 and 2021 will be Golden years as record No. of vacancies will be advertised in these 2 years.
