This week Education Department of J&K has advertised 503 Fresh Teacher Jobs for 2 Districts of J&K and from other districts Notification will be announced soon and these Teacher Posts are not announced by JKSSB, rather these Posts are advertised by the Offices of Chief Education Officer (Kathua and Udhampur).
If you think that Teaching Jobs are advertised only by JKSSB (For General Line Teachers) and JKPSC (For 10+2 Lecturers and Assistant Professors), then you are wrong, Teacher posts at times are announced by the District Education Officers (CEO Offices).
Though these posts are contractual in Nature, yet it is a very good opportunity for those looking for Teaching Job near their homes, as with these Job, you are likely to get posting in the Schools, coming under your Tehsil. Moreover, Selection Process for these Posts is on the basis of Academic Merit only and Unlike, JKSSB there is No Written Test. However, Candidates having B. Ed / M. Ed. and PG Degrees will be given preference.

The School Education Department of J&K invites applications from the permanent residents of J&K for below-mentioned teacher posts in Kathua and Udhampur districts

Salary: Rs 7500 Per month for Hard areas and Rs 4500 for Plain areas.

Important Dates
Before you proceed to apply for these teacher posts, kindly have a look at the Important Dates1) Kathua District
i) Date of Notification: 19th June 2018
ii) Last Date for submitting the application form: 3rd July, 2018
2) Udhampur District

Who can apply for these Teacher Posts?
Applicants willing to apply for these teacher posts should full fill the below-mentioned criteria
1) Domicile: Applicant should be a permanent resident of J&K and only those who are permanent residents of Kathua and Udhampur can apply for these posts.
2) Age Limit: Applicant should have attained the age of 18 years and maximum age should not exceed 40 years.
3) Education Qualifications: Applicant should have passed Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University. However, preference will be given to those having B. Ed / M Ed and PG Degrees
Selection Process: The Selection process for the Recruitment of these teachers comprises of Academic Qualifications only. There will be No Written test and Interview for these posts.
1) Graduation: 70 Points (Pro Rata Basis)
2) B. Ed : 10 Points
3) M Ed.: 05 Points
4) PG: 05 Points
5) M Phil: 05 Points
6) Ph. D : 05 Points
How to Apply
Applicants willing to apply for these teacher posts should submit their application forms in prescribed format before 3rd July (For Kathua) and 10th July (For Udhampur) district.
Application forms: Applicants need to submit their forms in prescribed format only. Application forms can be obtained from the Local Stationary or Photostat shops or you can take its Print out from the Official Notification, as forms are embedded with in the Notification.
