KAS 2016 Notification Announced. Apply Online for 277 Gazetted posts in J&K. Last Date to apply is 22nd July, 2016

Today, JKPSC had announced the Dates of J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2016 OR KAS Exam 2016. As per the Official Notification, the KAS Prelims Exam is tentatively scheduled on 25th Sept, 2016, while the MAINS Exam will start from 1st Nov, 2016
It is after a gap of 2 years that KAS Notification is announced. The Previous Notification, was announced in 2014 for which recruitment process is still pending. It is worth mentioning here that KAS Exam is the most sought after exam in J&K and this charm will continue in 2016 too, as this time a bumper No. of 277 vacancies are notified.
Applicants must note that, JKPSC had upgraded the application process to online mode, and as such the commission will be accepting the online forms only. The Online Registration for KAS 2016 Exam, will start from 22nd June and will end on 22nd July, 2016. The Last Day to pay the application fee is 25th July, 2016.

Schedule of Examination
The Commission has decided to conduct the Prelims Exam in Sept and Mains Exam from Nov. Here is the tentative schedule for KAS Exam 2016

What is the Eligibility Criteria ?
Applicants willing to apply and subsequently appear in the KAS 2016 exam, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions
1) Applicants, must be a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir and must have a valid state subject of J&K
2) Age Limit : Applicants, must have attained the age of 21 years, while the maximum age should not exceed 35 years. However for reserved category candidates there is relation of 2 years and 3 years for Physically challenged candidates

3 Qualifications: The minimum Qualification to appear in the KAS 2016 is Graduation in any discipline.

How to Apply ?
Applicants who full fill the below mentioned eligibility condition's and willing to apply for KAS 2016, must submit their applications online before the last date ie. 22nd July, 2016
Online Applications : Applicants can submit their forms through online mode only by logging on to the JKPSC's Official Website at www.jkpsc.nic.in. The detailed instructions for submit the KAS 2016 Online form, will be shared in our upcoming post.
Application Fees: After submitting the online applications, applicants will have to pay the application fee through a system generated challan form in any J&K Bank branch. The cost of application form is given as under
1) For General candidates: Rs 1005
2) For Reserved Category Candidates: Rs 505
The Last date for Depositing the application fee is 25th July, 2016
